Copy, export, and import flows

You can reuse a Guided Flow without rebuilding every question and branch. A copy stays in the same agent, while an exported file can be saved as a backup or imported into another agent.

Every copied or imported flow starts as a Draft. Review it before publishing so you can update agent-specific settings and test every path.

Duplicate a flow

Use Duplicate when you want another version of a flow in the same agent. The new draft keeps the questions, choices, answers, actions, channels, and input policy. Its name includes (copy), with a number added when needed.

The original flow is not changed. The copy does not inherit publishing history or WhatsApp keywords.

Export a flow

Use Export to download the current draft as a Guided Flow file. This file contains the flow content and settings needed for a later import. It does not contain visitor activity, analytics, delivery history, or earlier published versions.

Keep exported files somewhere you trust. Editing the file manually can make it unusable.

Import a flow

Use Import in the agent that should receive the flow, then choose a Guided Flow file produced by Export. A successful import creates a new draft; it does not replace an existing flow.

After importing:

1. Open the new draft and review its name, channels, questions, and actions.
2. Add any WhatsApp keywords the new agent should use.
3. Replace unavailable images or audio when prompted.
4. Preview every branch, then publish when it is ready.

Troubleshooting

Duplicate or import says the flow limit was reached

An agent can hold a limited number of Guided Flows. Archive a flow you no longer need, then try again. Archiving stops that flow, so confirm it is no longer in use first.

The imported flow uses unavailable files

Images and audio belong to the agent where they were uploaded. Upload those files to the receiving agent, replace the unavailable attachments in the original flow, export it again, and retry the import.

The file is not recognized

Choose the original Guided Flow file created by Export. A renamed file is fine, but a file whose contents were edited, damaged, or produced by an unsupported version cannot be imported. Export a fresh copy from the source agent and try again.

Duplicate, Export, or Import is unavailable

Only people who can edit the agent or manage its settings can use these operations. Ask an owner or manager to update your role or perform the action.

The imported flow does not start from a WhatsApp keyword

Open the imported draft, turn on the WhatsApp channel if needed, and add its keywords again before publishing. Keywords are deliberately left out of copied and imported flows to avoid conflicts.
