Onboarding — Set Up Your Free AI Chatbot
Step-by-step onboarding for your free Fetchply AI chatbot. Paste your website URL and get your AI agent trained in minutes — free.
The Onboarding Wizard
After signing up, Fetchply guides you through creating your first agent. The wizard has four steps:
Enter your website URL
Paste the address of the website you want your agent to learn from. Fetchply will look at your site to discover all the pages it can train on.
Choose what to include
Fetchply shows you a list of pages found on your site. You can review these and deselect pages you don't want included.
If you don't have a website to train on, you can switch to document-based training and upload files instead.
Configure your agent
Set up optional preferences:
- Starter questions — suggested questions for your chat visitors
- Document uploads — add files to supplement your website content
You can skip these and set them up later.
Launch
Click to launch training. Fetchply processes your content and your agent becomes ready to use. You'll then land in the agent dashboard.
Training usually takes a minute or two for most websites. Larger sites take a bit longer.
After Onboarding
Once onboarding is complete, you can:
- Open Test Chat to try your agent
- Customize your widget's look in the Widget Customizer
- Add more content from Sources
- Copy the embed code from Embed to add the chat widget to your site
You can go through onboarding again by creating another agent from the New Agent button on your dashboard home page.
