Test Chat — Try Your Free AI Chatbot Before Going Live

Test your free AI chatbot's answers before publishing. Unlimited test messages don't count toward your quota. Validate responses, fix gaps, and go live with confidence.

Why Test Chat Matters

The Test Chat page lets you talk to your agent before real visitors do. It works the same way as your live widget, so it's a reliable preview of what visitors will experience.

How to Use It

Open Test Chat

Go to Dashboard → Agent → Test Chat in the sidebar.

Ask common customer questions

Start with the questions your real visitors are most likely to ask. Check that answers are accurate and sound like you.

Try edge cases

Test these scenarios:

  • Missing information — questions your training data doesn't cover
  • Vague questions — broad or multi-topic prompts
  • Off-topic prompts — questions unrelated to your business

Your agent should politely say it doesn't know rather than making things up.

Adjust and retest

If answers don't feel right:

  • Update the personality instructions or try a different preset
  • Add Q&A pairs for questions that need exact wording
  • Adjust starter questions to guide visitors toward covered topics
  • Try a different model for better quality
