Configuring Agents

Customize your agent's behavior, system prompt, appearance, and model settings.

Agent Settings

Every agent has a settings page where you can fine-tune its behavior. Navigate to your agent's Settings tab to access these options.

General Settings

Lead Capture Settings

Configure when and how your agent collects visitor information:

  • Enable/disable lead capture
  • Required fields — name, email, phone (choose which to collect)
  • Capture timing — before chat starts or after a few messages
  • Custom messages — the prompt shown when requesting information

Appearance Settings

Customize how the widget looks to match your brand:

Use the Widget Customizer at /dashboard/[id]/customizer for a visual, live-preview editor.

Branding

  • Remove "Powered by Fetchply" — available on Pro plans and above
  • Custom agent avatar — upload an image to replace the default bot icon

Auto-Save

All settings are auto-saved as you type — no save button needed. Changes take effect within a few seconds.

Settings use a 2-second debounce to avoid excessive API calls. Wait a moment after making changes for them to persist.
