Add text sources
Add, search, update, and remove short blocks of approved knowledge without creating a document.
Text sources work well for business hours, temporary notices, policy summaries, service areas, or facts that do not have a stable public page.
Open Text
Go to Training Data → Text and choose to add a snippet.
Add a descriptive title
Use a title your team can search later, such as Holiday support hours rather than Important.
Write self-contained content
Include the subject, conditions, dates, and exceptions. Avoid references such as “this” or “above” that lack context.
Save and verify
Saving adds the source to the processing queue. You can leave the page while it continues. Wait for the indexed state, then test a question that uses the new fact.
Update or remove a snippet
When a fact changes, select the edit action next to the snippet, adjust the title or content, and save. The updated text replaces the old version automatically; the snippet shows Processing briefly and then returns to Indexed. Delete obsolete text so the agent does not retrieve conflicting versions.
Use the search box above the list to find a snippet by title, and the preview action to check exactly what text the agent answers from.
If a source stays in Processing, refresh once and wait before adding it
again. If it changes to Failed, review the text, confirm your training
allowance is available, and create the source again.
