Overview
A large share of conversational commerce never touches a checkout page. Customers ask, negotiate, and order in the same thread, and someone on your team retypes it all into a spreadsheet. In-chat ordering replaces that retyping with a structured order captured by the agent itself.
The agent walks the customer through product selection, then collects the required details: a name, an email or phone number, and a delivery address. Before anything is recorded, the customer sees a full order review and confirms it. Your team can also record manual orders from the dashboard for conversations that happened elsewhere.
After the sale, order status updates keep the customer informed, and every captured order feeds the commerce metrics in analytics. Customers can answer in their own language, including romanized text, and the agent still captures the details correctly.
How it works
- 1
Enable commerce for the agent
Turn on the built-in commerce features for the agent and add your products with prices, images, and stock.
- 2
The agent assembles the cart
Products the customer agrees to are collected into an order, with quantities and current catalog prices.
- 3
Details are collected and verified
The agent asks for a name, an email or phone number, and an address, and will not confirm an order without them.
- 4
The customer reviews and confirms
A full order summary is shown before confirmation. Confirmed orders appear in your dashboard with status tracking and customer notifications.

Frequently asked questions
Is in-chat ordering on by default?
No. Commerce features are off until you enable them for an agent, so agents that only answer support questions are unaffected.
Does this replace my Shopify or WooCommerce checkout?
No. In-chat ordering uses the built-in catalog and is designed for stores that sell directly over chat. Shopify and WooCommerce stores keep their own checkout and use Fetchply for recommendations and order lookups.
Can an order be confirmed with missing details?
No. The agent requires a name, an email or phone number, and an address before the order review step, and the customer must confirm the summary.
How do I handle currencies?
The catalog uses a single store currency. Per-product currencies are not supported.
