We wanted something that could answer customer questions without adding more work for our team. Fetchply was easy to set up and started working with our Shopify store pretty quickly.
It’s a practical app for stores that want faster support and a better shopping experience.
Setup, control, channels, pricing, and privacy. Open a question or ask the live Fetchply assistant for more detail.
Fetchply gives every customer question the right path. Repeat questions can receive approved Instant Answers, predictable requests can follow Guided Flows, open questions can use your business knowledge, and complex conversations can reach your team.
Launch one assistant for approved answers, guided journeys, knowledge-based help, and human handoff—without forcing every request through AI.
The Fetchply Shopify app syncs your pages, policies, and catalog, then answers shopper questions in a chat widget you switch on from the theme editor.
Free plan · 200 AI messages a month · No credit card
In short
Install the Fetchply app from Shopify, connect your account, review the synced training data, enable Product search and Order lookup in Settings, then turn on Fetchply Chat under App embeds in the theme editor and save.
What you'll do
Step by step
Install Fetchply from Shopify and open the app. Select Connect your Fetchply account, sign in or create an account, and approve the store connection. Your pages, policies, and catalog start syncing in the background.
Work through the in-app guide: review Store policies, add Instant answers for questions you want answered word for word, customize the chat, and choose capabilities.
Good to know: If your policies have not appeared yet, use Import from Shopify on the policies step.
Under Training data, check Sources, Instant answers, Products, and Collections so the assistant only answers from content you trust.
Open Settings and switch on Product search and Order lookup so shoppers can find products and check their orders directly in chat.
Go to Settings, then Widget embed, and choose Open theme editor. Turn on Fetchply Chat under App embeds and save the theme.
Good to know: The status card reads your published theme. Enabling the embed on a draft theme leaves the home page showing "Turn on chat".
Open Playground: search for a product, ask a policy question, and look up a test order once with email and once with phone. Confirm the activity shows up in Inbox and Analytics.
FAQs
No. The widget ships as a Shopify theme app embed. You switch it on from the theme editor and save the theme; there is no code to paste and nothing to clean up if you ever remove the app.
Test conversations in the Playground do not count against your monthly messages unless you exceed 500 test messages in 30 days, so you can test thoroughly before going live.
The status card only reads your published theme. If you enabled Fetchply Chat on a draft or preview theme, open the theme editor for the live theme, enable the embed there, and save.
